あなたの研究テーマについて教えてください。What is your research theme?
My research focuses on development and application of quantum sensors. Currently, I am working on the fabrication of an ultrathin glass-based cantilever quantum sensor as well as the development of a corresponding measurement system. Ultra-sensitive measurement capability of this quantum sensor is attributed to the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in nanodiamonds. The NV center in nanodiamonds is a structural defect that enables precise detection of magnetic and electric fields, temperature, and pressure at the nanoscale. Ultimately, the sensor and measurement system will be applied in the biomedical field to conduct measurements on biological samples such as cells. They will enable the acquisition of various physical parameters, such as mechanical properties and temperature, thereby facilitating multidimensional diagnostics. Furthermore, they can be employed to detect subtle physical changes occurring during cellular development. This research has the potential to significantly improve the precision of biological sample detection, making the results more reliable.

During my master's studies, I found that I enjoy the research process, especially the experimental section. Every time I achieved a milestone, I felt a strong sense of achievement. Meanwhile, in terms of my future career plan, I hope to engage in research-related work. I think that the research experience I accumulated during my master's studies is not sufficient, so I decided to pursue a doctoral degree after completing my master's degree.
