My research theme is focused on how software developers maintain their projects through dependency management. My expected result will be an application which assists software developers to manage dependencies by helping to decide to remove dependencies from their project.

The reason is I would like to extend my master's thesis. I have a couple of ideas to extend it. Next, my professor who supervises me while studying for the thesis is working in NAIST. So, I decided to continue studying for my Ph.D. at NAIST.

If your future work requires Ph.D. or you are thinking of a doctoral program, it is your way, you can continue to study for Ph.D.
Unless, please think about pursuing it again. Studying for Ph.D. usually takes about 3 years. If you think it is not necessary in your career, don't waste 3 years with a doctoral program. Ph.D. is not everything, you can use 3 years with necessary things for your future.
