あなたの研究テーマについて教えてください。What is your research theme?
My research aims at elucidating the mechanisms underlying plant adaptation to nutrient deficiency, with a primary focus on how plants confer pathogen resistance while accommodating beneficial microbes. Previous work at the Laboratory of Plant Immunity has shown that a subset of immune receptor pathways, including damage-inducible Pep peptides and Pep receptors, remain effective or are even sensitized under nutrient deficiency.
My research begins with genetic studies on natural variations of Pep-induced defense responses under phosphate deficiency in Arabidopsis thaliana. These efforts are expected to gain insight into how plants regulate defense mechanisms to optimize biotic interactions and nutrient acquisition under nutrient deficiency.
