あなたの研究テーマについて教えてください。What is your research theme?

My research focuses on developing CNT/perovskite composite yarns as flexible materials for thermoelectric energy harvesting. I investigate how surfactant selection, composition, fabrication conditions, and annealing affect their thermoelectric properties, with the aim of improving electrical conductivity while maintaining a high Seebeck coefficient and reducing thermal conductivity. These improvements are expected to enhance the overall thermoelectric performance of the materials. Academically, this research seeks to clarify the relationship between the structure and thermoelectric properties of one-dimensional composite materials and to advance flexible thermoelectric devices for low-temperature environments. In the future, this research could contribute to the development of flexible and sustainable energy-harvesting technologies that utilize temperature differences in the surrounding environment.
なぜ博士課程へ進学しましたか?Why did you decide to pursue a doctoral program?

I decided to pursue a doctoral degree because, during my master’s studies, I realized that I wanted to develop deeper research and technical skills. Although my master’s research gave me a foundation in materials science, my experience with advanced characterization techniques and research equipment was still limited. This motivated me to seek an environment where I could gain broader experimental experience and become a more independent researcher.
After completing my master’s degree, I explored opportunities to continue my research in materials science and flexible electronic materials. I chose to pursue my doctoral studies at NAIST because its research environment and facilities provide opportunities to develop both fundamental understanding and practical research skills. Through the PhD program, I hope to strengthen my expertise, learn to approach research more independently, and develop the ability to contribute to new scientific and technological developments.
Graniteの支援で役立っている・助かっていることを教えてください。Please share what has been helpful or beneficial through the support provided by Granite.
The support from Granite has been very beneficial, not only through the living allowance but also through research funding. The research funding allows me to participate in academic activities such as international conferences and lab stays, giving me opportunities to present my research, learn new techniques, exchange ideas with researchers from different countries and institutions, and gain new perspectives in my field. These experiences have broadened my academic knowledge and practical skills. Overall, Granite has provided not only financial stability but also valuable opportunities to develop my research experience and grow as a researcher.
将来の目標、もしくはあなたが胸に秘めた野望があればぜひ教えてください。Please share your future goals or any ambitions you hold close to your heart.
My long-term goal is to become a researcher and contribute to the development of science and technology through research. In the future, I hope to build stronger research connections between Japan and Indonesia by promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange between researchers from both countries. I would like to use the knowledge, skills, and experience I gain in Japan to contribute to research in Indonesia and create opportunities for meaningful joint research.
博士課程進学を考えている人へのメッセージをください。Please share a message for those considering pursuing a doctoral program.

If you are considering pursuing a doctoral degree, my advice is not to be afraid to try. You will never know how far you can go if you do not take the chance. It is better to fail after trying than to regret never trying because you were afraid. You may discover that you are capable of achieving more than you expected. During your master’s studies, I recommend learning more about the research field you are interested in and finding a laboratory that matches your interests and goals. If possible, join internships or research visits, and communicate with professors and students to learn more about the research environment. I also recommend building a strong research foundation during your master’s studies by developing technical skills and gaining experience in conducting and presenting research. Most importantly, do not let fear of failure stop you from pursuing something you truly want to achieve.
